As we rapidly become more used to accessing the internet via high speed broadband connections, imagery is playing a much bigger role in conveying messages about your business. Due to the increase of download speeds and capacities the use of high definition photography is become far more widely used in the creation of a strong web presence.
Working with local professionals, we have access to some of the most stunning images yet taken of our area, many of which we have used in the creation of the Tourism Doctor web portal portfolio. The following details and examples show the depth of talent we have in Dumfries & Galloway and we will be happy to discuss how images of this quality can have a huge impact on the effectiveness of a web site and how it can be used to benfit your business.
Ted Leeming set up as a freelance photographer in the late 1980s in London working mostly for trade
magazines and commissions for actors and model portfolios. Following a commission to be the
photographer on a 6 month expedition to Chilean Patagonia in 1990 he returned to Cornwall with
an ever strengthening commitment to the environment. He became involved in the field of
renewable energy, continuing to take photos and setting up his own company with a friend in Glasgow in 1996. Ted is now based in The Glenkens area of Dumfries & Galloway.
Whilst maintaining a commitment to the environment, in 2004 Ted decided to acknowledge his
passion for photography, leaving the company and travelling for a year through Scotland, the
UK, Europe and Northern Africa to update his portfolio of landscape and environmental images -
the fields of photography he now specialises in.

Graham Riddell
is primarily a landscape photographer who has extended into other areas
such as corporate commissions, a little product and portrait work, PR
and Events coverage. He is a generalist with an emphasis on Scottish
landscapes rather than a purist in any one particular field of study.
He has recently produced some of the most exciting images yet of racers
on the 7Stanes courses, many of which we have used in the creation of
this website.

Alan Devlin, based in Dumfries concentrates mainly
on images of Southern Scotland, in particular Dumfries and Galloway. Whilst
capturing its varied landscapes and culture he has developed a strong love of
the area, which can clearly be seen, in his photography. As well as undertaking
commissioned work, Allan also writes articles for national magazines such as
“The Great Outdoors”, “Outdoor Photography” etc. - all based around walking or
being out of doors in southern Scotland.

Phil McMenemy describes himself as a self-taught photographer, he prefers to use his own experiences to develop his own 'style'. He have
been trying to capture images for many
years - both in and out of wakefulness!Prior to launching his photographic career Phil spent many
years as a Mental Health Nurse working
with children and families, he also spent a number of years working in
Engineering in his hometown of Barrow-in-Furness.
Phil now lives near Castle Douglas in the Stewartry of
Kirkcudbrightshire with Louise and his precious little boy Alex - after
spending many years in both London and Manchester.
His main photographic interests are the great
outdoors, the Goddess Mother Earth, and her fabulous bounty. We are
blessed here in Dumfries
and Galloway to have access to fantastic flora and fauna, archaeology,
hills,
lochs and mountains, seascapes and terrific walking opportunities.
In spite of his colour-blindness, Phil tries to convey the rich
colours of the natural world and capture the fine art opportunities that are
all around us.
He uses Canon equipment and a Canon EOS camera and loves
them, a temperamental Manfroto tripod, Photoshop software and various other
bits and pieces (the technical side of photography remains a tedious necessity
and isn't his strength - for him the moment is everything!)
