Galloway Forest Park Website on its way!

Posted on Friday, 06 November 2009 03:18PM by Ronnie
The Galloway Forest ParkFollowing the success of the 7stanes.com project, Tourism Doctor has been invited to be involved in another collaborative venture with the local management of Forest Enterprise and turned our attentions to the creation of Gallowayforestpark.com. Having already established a close working relationship with FCS and shown our abilties to handle complex projects, Tourism Doctor have been given unique access the the huge knowledge base held by FCS, including unrestricted access to the Park itself to help us create the type of website which FCS have always wanted but because of budgetary and legislative constraints have never been able to achieve.

This is a huge undertaking given the sheer scale of the Galloway Forest Park and the diversity and range of features within it. Extending to over 300 square miles it is the UK's largest forest park, but remains largely unknown, an unspoilt wilderness with massive potential to become one of the prime visitor attractions in Britain. It is only because of the freedom Tourism Doctor have as a private enterprise allied to our abilities to 'just get on with the job' and having state-of-the-art technologies at our disposal that Gallowayforestpark.com will become a reality in the very near future.

The task is to create a web portal which focuses the attention of the world on this unique area and highlights the many beautiful places, the myriad of wildlife and the array of activities which the visitor can experience. Although daunting, Tourism Doctor already has proven ability to create the highly effective web portal required. The construction of Gallowayforestpark.com is already well advanced with the launch planned for Late 2009.

Once complete, Gallowayforestpark.com will become a major part of our network of sites, raising the status of the Park to one of high importance in southern Scotland and allow us to cross-link with our other sites creating an online tapestry of interlinked portals unlike anything seen before.
