Our credentials at Tourism Doctor are unrivalled. Specialising in tourism marketing and with over 25 years of combined tourism and IT experience; Tourism and Technology are now second nature to us.
Based in St. Johns Town of Dalry, Dumfries and Galloway our focus has been to promote this wonderful and diverse area as a major tourist destination in response to an historical lack of promotion by the national organisation in favour of more 'popular' destinations in the Central belt and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
Our first main project in 1999 was to create the Southernuplandway.com portal to promote Scotland’s 212 mile coast to coast long distance footpath, combining visitor expectations with tourism providers marketing requirements.
Following over 20 years in the hospitality industry here in southern Scotland, our knowledge of the tourism industry provided us with a focus based on visitor and service provider expectations and needs.
Tourism Doctor now have a network of web portals promoting the region and have gained much experience, both good and bad. We are extremely proud that visitor numbers to our sites continue to grow year on year, providing increasing returns on investment for our subscribers and just as importantly, act as essential and definitive resources of information about southern Scotland for visitors in this rapidly expanding arena of worldwide tourism.
